Short-Term Trainers
We provide opportunities for short-term involvement in Bible Translation.
Consultants
Post-graduate qualifications in Greek, Hebrew, Missiology, Linguistics or Cultural Anthropology may have equipped you to participate as a trainer or consultant.
Career Bible Translators
There are two main categories of Bible Translators in The Word For The World:
- Mother-Tongue Translators - They are translating the Bible into their own languages.
- Expatriate Bible Translators - They are working in a language that is not their own.
We believe there will always be a need for both kinds of Bible Translators.

Is The Word for the World a valid investment opportunity?
Bible translation is an essential and integral part of world evangelization. All other evangelization programs depend on the availability of God s Word.
Through sixteen years of working in the field, we have developed a program with a unique combination of features.
- We are indigenous to that part of the world where the need is greatest.
- We focus on training nationals to translate the Bible for their own people.
- We provide a broad spectrum of training (formal, informal, non-formal, on-the-job) in localities where national Bible Translators live.
- We take the full training program to the people in their own countries.Our program creates opportunities for anyone starting at any level to proceed to the highest levels. (e.g. Mother-tongue language helpers can become project leaders.
